Each team will rank themselves before the season begins on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being a beginning team with no experience, and 10 being considered the top of the Elite level. Teams will then be scheduled against teams of similar rankings within their area. After each week of play, each team's ranking is adjusted by their record from that week, +1 for a win or -1 for a loss, then the process is repeated with each team being scheduled against other teams of similar modified rankings.
For example, if you rank yourself a 4, and win both your first two games, your ranking becomes a 6 and you will end up playing other teams at around a 6. That means you could play a team that started at 8 and lost both their first two games, or a team that started at 6 and split the first week. As the season progresses, we attempt to have all undefeated and all winless teams playing each other.
During the first few weeks we try to keep teams in their preferred geographical location, when ever possible. Sometimes, teams may be required to travel to another area to match up against teams of similar rankings that they have not played yet. Travel becomes more likely for each team as the season progresses. Most teams should expect to travel for qualifier and state.
